One of the loudest venues in American sport — the Chiefs’ home holds a Guinness World Record for crowd noise — Arrowhead brings a fearsome atmosphere to the knockout rounds.
Opened in 1972 and home to the Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead is among the most intimidating venues in American sport: in 2014 its crowd set a Guinness World Record of 142.2 decibels. A 2010 renovation modernised the bowl while keeping its wall of sound.
It staged Copa América 2024 fixtures and brings that ferocious atmosphere to the World Cup’s knockout rounds in 2026.
Kansas City hosts group-stage matches and a quarter-final on 11 July 2026.
“Matías Olivera’s goal helped end the hosts’ campaign.”
