About the stadium

Opened in 2002 as the first NFL venue with a retractable roof, NRG Stadium keeps Houston’s heat and humidity outside while preserving a charged atmosphere. It is home to the Houston Texans and a fixture on the international football calendar.

It hosted the 2016 Copa América Centenario semi-final and a 2024 Copa América quarter-final, and welcomes World Cup football across the group and knockout rounds in 2026.
