The story

Craig Gordon is a Scottish goalkeeper who has been a mainstay of the national team for two decades, earning 84 caps. Known for his commanding presence and shot-stopping ability, he has won multiple domestic titles across his career.

Gordon came through the Heart of Midlothian academy and established himself as one of Scotland's top goalkeepers during his first spell at Tynecastle, winning the Scottish Cup in 2006. A record-breaking £9 million transfer took him to Sunderland in 2007, though serious knee injuries eventually cut short his time in England.

After returning to fitness, he rejoined Celtic in 2014 and claimed five consecutive Scottish Premiership titles along with a host of domestic cups. He returned to Hearts in 2020, taking on the captain's armband and winning the Scottish Championship in 2021.
