The story
Federico Viñas is a Uruguayan forward who built his career in Liga MX, most notably at Club América and Club León, before moving to Spain on loan to Real Oviedo.
Viñas made his mark in Liga MX with Club América and then Club León, where he scored 16 goals in 33 league games in 2023–24, sharing the Clausura Golden Boot. A serious Achilles tendon injury in May 2024 led to a loan spell at Real Oviedo in Spain.
He made his senior Uruguay debut in 2023, earning 11 caps and scoring 2 goals, and was selected for the 2026 World Cup squad.
