Mickey van de Ven

An exceptionally quick Dutch centre-back who holds the record as the fastest player ever recorded in the Premier League at 37.38 km/h. Van de Ven joined Tottenham for ~£43 million in 2023 and won the UEFA Europa League with the club in 2024–25.

Van de Ven progressed from FC Volendam through the Dutch lower leagues to VfL Wolfsburg in 2021, where he recorded the highest top speed of any Bundesliga defender that season. Tottenham Hotspur signed him in summer 2023, and despite injury challenges he won the club's Player of the Season award for 2023–24.

He contributed to Spurs' 2024–25 Europa League triumph and has established himself as a key Netherlands international, earning 21 caps and scoring once. He claimed a bronze medal at Euro 2024 as the Netherlands reached the semi-finals.
